Monty found out he had leukemia, but he went through successful chemotherapy, thankfully! It worked well and made him feel better. But creating an unfortunate situation, it came back and severely harmed Monty’s health. Fresco noticed that his dear friend had only a few weeks to live and was in great pain. As a friend and a family member who loved him much, Fresco thought he should make Monty’s last few days enjoyable.

He decided to take Monty to all the favorite spots they used to go and play together. He placed Monty in a wheelbarrow and Monty sat in it like a good boy. Then, Fresco pushed him everywhere.

It is a very emotional situation to see. Fresco brought Monty to places where they made memories together, and he could see that Monty was happy. Many spots were hilltops and hikes. Many hikers and strangers joined Fresco to go with Monty on their hikes.

Monty loved going on hikes and his favorite one was climbing a mountain in the Brecon Beacons of Wales. Fresco said he made it as a way to respect Monty. It’s like a way of saying thanks to Monty for bringing happiness to his life and everyone else.

Monty breathed his last in this June 21st and it made many people very sad. Fresco still appreciates the bond and happiness that Monty brought to his life. May rest in peace, Monty!
